This online instructor-led training course was organized by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through ITU Academy with support of the Global Gateway initiative of the European Union. It aims to empower government officials and policymakers to harness AI to improve citizen services. It introduces the foundational pillars of AI, including efficiency, quality, accessibility, innovation, and trust.
OBJECTIVES:
Describe the concept and importance of AI in enhancing citizen services and promoting inclusive digital development
Identify positive use cases for AI technology within government service delivery and develop approaches that leads to increased public trust
Evaluate whether AI deployment is responsible (ethical, privacy considerations), balancing tradeoffs between innovation and safety
