AI standards & governance: shaping the future responsibly
This course was organized by ITU in collaboration with NCA-F, Department of Telecommunications of India, Telecommunications Standards Development Society (TSDSI), Wadhwani AI and Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi and with the generous support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), Japan and the NCA-F.
This course provides a hands-on training on ITU’s ICT standardization activities focusing on AI, as part of the Bridging the Standardization Gap (BSG) programme and focuses on ethical, legal, governance and privacy aspects of AI for telecommunications and ICT.
OBJECTIVES:
Incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) technologies within their national ICT strategies, focusing on ethics, risks, governance, regulatory and legal aspects.
Actively engage in ICT standards development, particularly with regard to AI topic areas, and identify and apply relevant ITU-T standards in national frameworks and enabling ecosystems.
Evaluate and assess the value of AI-related initiatives as the basis for national engagement in ITU activities.
